A leading global manufacturing organization is seeking a Sr. Supply Chain Coordinator to join their dynamic team in San Diego. This is an exciting opportunity to work in the gas turbine industry , where you’ll play a critical role in ensuring materials and inventory flow efficiently to meet business and customer needs.

You’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams, manage ERP systems, and lead initiatives that optimize supply chain performance. If you thrive in fast-paced environments and have a passion for problem-solving and process improvement, this role is for you!

What You’ll Do:

Material Planning & Forecasting:

• Manage material planning activities using ERP systems.
• Maintain safety stock strategies and ensure supply continuity.
• Monitor delivery times, forecasting methods, and subcontracting processes.
• Analyze supply gaps and implement proactive solutions.

Purchase Order Management:

• Place and track purchase orders from initiation to delivery.
• Ensure timely and accurate delivery of materials.
• Identify process issues and propose improvements.
• Coordinate with contract manufacturers in Texas for production alignment.

Inventory Management:

• Develop strategies for inactive, obsolete, or excess inventory.
• Optimize inventory levels and reduce waste.

Shortage Management:

• Monitor shortage tools and adjust supplier schedules.
• Communicate risks and implement mitigation plans.

Data Analysis & Reporting:

• Analyze large data sets to identify trends and risks.
• Provide actionable insights for continuous improvement.

Leadership & Mentorship:

• Train and mentor junior coordinators.
• Lead improvement initiatives across supply chain processes.

Qualifications:

Required Skills & Experience:

• 5–10 years of experience in a planning role within global supply chain.
• Experience working in a manufacturing environment.
• ERP system experience.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Strong problem-solving, analytical, and critical thinking skills.

Nice to Have:

• Experience using Baan ERP system.
• Background in the gas turbine industry.
