*Please note - this role will require 5 days on-site as well as some occasional travel to our customers.

Position Summary

The Autonomous Service Senior Engineer will be responsible for supporting the maintenance and continuous improvement of autonomous products for the company and our autonomous partners. This role will also serve as a technical expert in maintaining the configuration, troubleshooting, and optimization of autonomous products while collaborating with engineering and internal teams to support customer needs, both in company locations and in the field.

Technical Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the technical support, maintenance, and continuous improvement of autonomous products within the organization.
  • Serves as a technical expert in maintaining the configuration, troubleshooting, and optimization of autonomous products, associated software/hardware, and solutions, with internal and external customers.
  • Support the future internal autonomous production and assembly team with autonomous products, as needed, as well ensuring quality of systems and equipment, at HQ and customer locations.
  • Assist with quality issue fixes on incoming truck orders/inventory at HQ and customer locations.
  • Partner with sales team in supporting field testing for new products to ensure deployment of potential or new solutions meet federal, state, and local compliance requirements.
  • Serve as a lead in incident management processes, help analyze root causes and contribute to service improvement initiatives.
  • Partner with appropriate team members and partners to develop field campaigns to communicate to dealers on field fixes.

Leadership and Collaboration

  • Co-author with engineering and the relevant autonomous partner the development and implementation of incident management and service delivery processes.
  • Work with engineering and appropriate autonomous partner on identifying root cause and help with corrective action plans.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to: ensure system reliability and provide field-level technical leadership.
  • Collaborate with the Customer Experience, Key Account, Strategic Partnerships, and Key Account Services teams to ensure smooth transitions from sale to post-sale execution.
  • Provide technical training, mentoring junior staff, and fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 3+ years of experience as a Forklift Service Technician, Automotive or field mechanic, with exposure to both mechanical and electrical and hydraulic systems
  • Air Frame and Power Plant training (A&P), ASE certified strongly preferred.
  • Experience working with autonomous systems, robotics, or similar advanced technology platforms a huge plus.
  • Preferred extensive background in material handling support or experience within a similar industry
  • Read and understand Electrical & Hydraulic Schematics.
  • Foundational knowledge in Microsoft suite (i.e., Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
