Position Overview

We are looking for a highly motivated Asset Management Analyst to join our New York City office and support our nationwide asset management operations. This individual will play a key role in managing our existing debt and equity portfolio. Responsibilities include maintaining and analyzing reports, valuations, and documentation for senior leadership; overseeing construction and renovation projects; reviewing and approving monthly and quarterly reporting obligations; and handling borrower requests such as lease reviews, draws for property renovations, and loan modifications. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong financial and analytical skills, and exhibit professionalism, organization, and the ability to represent Ladder effectively in interactions with borrowers and market participants. This is a dynamic opportunity to contribute to a fast-paced investment platform and gain exposure to a broad range of real estate assets.

Key Responsibilities Include but may not be limited to:

  • Assist with the on-going management of the existing portfolio, including financial underwriting, physical inspections of assets within the portfolio, valuation, market research, and effectively communicating potential risks or issues;
  • Assist with review and approval of new and renewal leases as required under the Loan documents;
  • Assist with monitoring individual markets and sub-markets and analyzing comparisons to specific asset performance;
  • Assist in tracking and coordinating monthly and quarterly tenant obligations for owned real estate, including but not limited to timely payment of rent, real estate taxes, and insurance renewals; and
  • Prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously and follow through on issues in a timely manner.

Qualifications:

  • 1-2 years of experience in mortgage banking, commercial real estate finance, investment sales, investment banking, underwriting, or similar fields is required (direct bridge/CMBS experience is a plus).
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple deals for multiple clients simultaneously.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills — must be personable and confident in client settings.
  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, real estate, economics, or related discipline is required.
  • Familiarity with legal documentation, structuring, and due diligence processes is preferred.
  • Frequent travel to tour properties, attend industry events, and in-person client meetings will be required.
