Job Description

We are seeking a highly experienced Workday HCM Functional Consultant to support enterprise-level integration assessment and future-state planning initiatives. The ideal candidate will have strong stakeholder engagement skills, deep Workday HCM functional expertise, and experience working closely with integration and technical teams to drive optimization and governance.

Key Responsibilities

1. Stakeholder Engagement & Requirements Gathering

  • Conduct stakeholder interviews with business and IT teams to understand current Workday integration use cases, pain points, and future expectations.

  • Act as a functional liaison between business stakeholders and technical integration teams.

2. Business Process & Data Flow Mapping

  • Document end-to-end business processes and corresponding data flows across Workday and integrated systems.

  • Ensure alignment between functional processes and integration touchpoints.

3. Integration Inventory & Classification

  • Create, validate, and maintain a comprehensive inventory of existing integrations.

  • Classify integrations by type, purpose, frequency, direction, and consuming systems.

4. Gap Analysis & Risk Assessment

  • Identify gaps, redundancies, and risks within the current integration landscape from a business, operational, and compliance perspective.

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to define mitigation strategies and support future-state design.

5. Cost & Complexity Analysis Support

  • Partner with Integration Specialists to assess integration cost drivers, including licensing, maintenance, scalability, and technical complexity.

  • Provide functional insights to support cost-benefit analysis and decision-making.

6. Future-State Strategy & Recommendations

  • Contribute to defining the future-state integration roadmap aligned with the organization's Workday integration strategy and governance model.

  • Recommend optimized integration approaches, tools, standards, and best practices.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • 12+ years of overall experience with strong expertise in Workday HCM functional modules

  • Proven experience in integration assessment, business process analysis, and stakeholder management

  • Strong understanding of Workday integrations and enterprise HR system landscapes

  • Experience working in large, complex enterprise environments

  • Excellent documentation, communication, and analytical skills

  • Ability to work independently in a remote environment
