Position Overview

Ultimate Staffing is looking for a dedicated Test Technician to join their client's team in Palo Alto, CA. This position offers a fantastic opportunity to work in an organization known for its excellent culture. This role is a contract-to-hire position with full-time hours from Monday to Friday. The pay range is between $30 to $35 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications.

Responsibilities

• Set up standard test equipment, including oscilloscopes, function generators, variable power supplies, and frequency counters, to conduct functional, operational, environmental, and life tests safely.
• Collect, log, analyze, and interpret test data to evaluate performance and reliability of prototype or production systems.
• Indicate test status on all products by stamping product identification tags.
• Analyze and interpret test information to resolve design-related problems, collaborating with electrical engineers and other personnel as necessary.
• Provide technical assistance and resolution for electrical or engineering problems encountered during assembly.
• Assemble electrical and electronic systems and prototypes using engineering data and electrical principles.
• Modify electrical prototypes, parts, assemblies, and systems to correct functional deviations.
• Build, calibrate, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair electrical instruments or testing equipment.
• Complete certificates of compliance as needed.

Qualifications

• Two (2) years of electronic/electrical testing and maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Associates Degree in Electronics Technology or Electrical Engineering is preferred.
• Proficiency in using electrical and mechanical test and inspection equipment, including DVMs, oscilloscopes, calipers, and micrometers.
• Demonstrated understanding of using Job Packets.
• Basic computer skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office software.
• Ability to understand electrical schematics and basic mechanical drawings and documentation.
• Experience working on Printed Circuit Boards with basic soldering rework skills.
• Ability to work with electronic test equipment and hand tools in a manufacturing production test environment.
• Experience working successfully in cross-functional teams to solve complex problems.
• Professional interaction with employees, vendors, customers, and visitors.
• Proficiency in reading, speaking, and writing in English.

Required Work Hours

Monday to Friday, 1st shift.

Additional Details

The maximum pay for this position is $35 per hour, with a minimum pay of $30 per hour.
