• Work Shift: • Shift: Various Shifts (as needed by the unit)
• Schedule: PRN (Flexible, Temporary/Contract)
• Patient Care & Coordination: Provide comprehensive perioperative nursing care for adult patients across various surgical specialties. Perform preoperative assessments, intraoperative circulating/scrubbing duties, and assist with postoperative transfer. Prioritize patient safety and optimum surgical workflow.
• Patient Advocacy & Satisfaction: Provide empathetic communication and education to patients and families before and after surgery. Embrace patient- and family-centered care principles to ensure a supportive experience and maintain high satisfaction.
• Surgical Team Collaboration: Work collaboratively with surgeons, anesthesiologists, surgical technologists, and other staff to ensure a sterile field, proper equipment function, and adherence to surgical protocols.
• Performance Improvement: Adhere to and support initiatives that improve OR workflows, patient outcomes, and operational efficiency.
• Professional Competency: Maintain all required credentials and adhere to the highest standards of sterile technique, patient safety, and professional conduct.

Key Requirements and Technology Experience:

• Current RN license (Georgia or Compact State)
• Current BLS certification (required upon hire)
• Minimum 2 years of nursing experience
• Substantial recent experience in an Adult Operating Room (circulating and/or scrubbing)
• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Diploma in Nursing is required .
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) is strongly preferred .
• Licensure/Certification:
• Current RN License in the State of Georgia or a Multi-State Compact License.
• Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required upon hire.
• CNOR certification is highly desirable.
• Minimum 2 years of nursing experience is required.
• Recent, substantial experience in an Adult Operating Room setting is essential. Experience as both a circulator and scrub nurse is preferred.
• Expertise in aseptic and sterile technique.
• Strong knowledge of surgical procedures, instrumentation, and equipment.
• Exceptional interpersonal, communication, and teamwork skills in a high-stakes environment.
• Ability to adapt quickly, anticipate surgical needs, and function effectively in a fast-paced.
