Job Description

We are currently seeking a Sales Representative for a leading Japanese Food Distributor. The primary responsibility of this role is to sell products to Japanese restaurants, supermarkets, and other establishments. Proficiency in both Japanese and English is required for effective communication with clients.

Responsibilities:

  • Promote and sell a wide range of Japanese food products to potential customers, including Japanese restaurants, supermarkets, and other food establishments.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with existing customers to ensure customer satisfaction and repeat business.
  • Identify and approach potential new customers, conduct sales presentations, and negotiate contracts to secure new accounts.
  • Provide product information, samples, and recommendations to clients, addressing their specific needs and preferences.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, including logistics and customer service, to ensure timely delivery and resolution of any customer issues or concerns.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, market demands, and competitor activities to identify new business opportunities and maintain a competitive edge.
  • Meet or exceed sales targets and contribute to the growth and profitability of the company.

Requirements:

  • Fluent in both Japanese and English to effectively communicate with clients and internal teams.
  • Previous experience in sales is a plus, even if it is only 1-2 years. However, candidates without prior experience will also be considered.
  • Passion for Japanese food and familiarity with Japanese culinary culture is highly desirable.
  • Experience working in a restaurant or food service industry is a welcomed advantage.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a customer-oriented approach.
  • Self-motivated, results-driven, and capable of working independently as well as part of a team.
  • Ability to travel locally to visit clients and attend industry events as needed.
  • Valid drivers license required. After a 3-month probationary period, a company vehicle will be provided for sales-related travel.
