Job Description

Position Overview

The Production Control Manager is responsible for overseeing and coordinating the facility’s production schedule to ensure a seamless flow of materials, parts, and assemblies across all departments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Adhere to all company safety and security protocols.
  • Manage Production Control activities to avoid material shortages, delays, excess inventory, overloading of work centers, and unnecessary changeovers.
  • Collaborate with managers and supervisors to align production planning and scheduling.
  • Plan, release, and stage materials for shop orders while maintaining inventory accuracy.
  • Monitor work order progress and adjust schedules as needed.
  • Maintain and update planning and scheduling tools.
  • Identify potential bottlenecks or capacity issues and proactively communicate solutions to management, purchasing, production, and project teams.
  • Develop and maintain production plans and schedules to meet plant output targets.
  • Manage ERP and portal scheduling and forecasting data.
  • Promote process improvements, lead problem-solving initiatives, and encourage best practice sharing.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred, or equivalent education/experience.
  • Strong understanding of current technology practices and concepts.
  • Minimum of five years in manufacturing, with at least three years in planning/scheduling.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Experience with ERP systems

Salary Range: $75,000-$90,000
