Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Maintenance Supervisor to lead the maintenance team at our facility in Lake Villa, IL. This role is critical in ensuring the reliable and efficient operation of our equipment and facilities. The Maintenance Supervisor will oversee preventative maintenance, repairs, and upgrades, playing a key role in minimizing downtime and maximizing productivity.

Responsibilities:

• Supervise and coordinate daily maintenance activities, including preventive maintenance, repairs, and troubleshooting of
• equipment.
• Develop, implement, and monitor preventative maintenance programs to ensure equipment reliability and minimize unplanned
• downtime.
• Ensure all maintenance activities comply with company policies, OSHA standards, and other relevant safety regulations.
• Lead and train the maintenance team, providing guidance and support to ensure high performance.
• Conduct regular inspections of equipment, facilities, and systems to identify maintenance needs and prioritize tasks.
• Manage work orders, maintenance schedules, and inventory of spare parts and supplies.
• Collaborate with production and quality teams to address equipment-related issues and ensure seamless operations.
• Support new equipment installations, upgrades, and modifications to meet operational needs.
• Maintain detailed maintenance records, including repair logs, equipment performance, and safety inspections.
• Coordinate with external vendors and contractors for specialized repairs and services as needed.

Skills and Qualifications:

• Proven experience in maintenance, preferably in a manufacturing or food production environment.
• Strong mechanical, electrical, and troubleshooting skills.
• Knowledge of PLCs, HVAC, refrigeration, and other industrial systems is a plus.
• Familiarity with OSHA regulations, safety standards, and preventative maintenance programs.
• Excellent leadership and team management skills.
• Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.
• Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Proficiency in maintenance software and tools is desirable.

Education and Experience:

• High school diploma or equivalent (Required).
• Technical certification or associate degree in industrial maintenance or a related field (Preferred).
• 3+ years of maintenance experience, with supervisory experience highly desirable.
