Executive Housekeeper Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Executive Housekeeper to lead our dedicated housekeeping team. This pivotal role involves overseeing the cleanliness and organization of our facilities while ensuring the highest standards of service and hospitality for our guests. You will play a crucial role in implementing effective cleaning protocols, training staff, and enhancing the overall guest experience through exceptional housekeeping management.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement housekeeping policies and procedures that align with industry standards and best practices
  • Lead, mentor, and manage a diverse team of housekeeping staff, fostering a culture of excellence and accountability
  • Responsible for scheduling and evaluating staff
  • Plans daily housekeeping schedule and assigns duties
  • Organize and set up deep cleaning projects
  • Identify and report maintenance related problems.
  • Conduct regular inspections of guest rooms and public areas to ensure compliance with cleanliness and maintenance standards
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless operations and guest satisfaction
  • Manage budgeting for the housekeeping department, including cost control and inventory management
  • Identify training needs and develop training programs for housekeeping staff to enhance skills and service quality
  • Utilize guest feedback and performance metrics to continuously improve housekeeping services

Required and Preferred Qualifications

Required:

  • 5+ years of experience in a housekeeping role with preferable 3+ years in a supervisory position.
  • Strong knowledge of cleaning techniques, equipment, and safety standards
  • Proven leadership experience with the ability to motivate and develop a high-performing team
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written

Preferred:

  • Experience in implementing environmentally friendly cleaning practices
  • Familiarity with housekeeping management software and technology

Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies

  • Proficient in using property management systems and housekeeping management software
  • Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and their safe application
  • Understanding of inventory management systems and supply chain processes
