Job Description

JustinBradley's client, a leader in entertainment media, is seeking a resourceful and detail-oriented ASL Interpreter & Administrative Assistant . The primary focus will be providing comprehensive American Sign Language (ASL) interpretation for a Deaf team member, ensuring accessibility and inclusion in all professional interactions. In addition, the role includes administrative support for two Vice Presidents, managing schedules, logistics, and confidential communications. This position is ideal for someone who thrives in both language interpretation and executive-level administrative organization.

Responsibilities:

ASL Interpretation (Primary Duty):

  • Provide precise, confidential ASL interpretation during meetings, presentations, and daily interactions.
  • Facilitate communication to ensure full accessibility for the designated Deaf team member.
  • Prepare in advance by researching technical or sector-specific vocabulary.

Administrative Support (Secondary Duty):

  • Manage and maintain calendar schedules for two Vice Presidents.
  • Coordinate meeting logistics, spaces, and materials.
  • Handle sensitive communications and documentation with discretion.
  • Serve as a liaison between executives, staff, and external stakeholders.

Requirements:

  • Certification in ASL interpretation (e.g., Registry of Interpreters for the Deaf or equivalent).
  • Strict adherence to interpreter’s code of conduct, ethics, and confidentiality.
  • Professional ASL/English interpretation skills across multiple formats (in-person, video, conferences, technical/business topics, teaming with other interpreters).
  • Flexibility to adapt to diverse populations, settings, and interpreting models (onsite/remote).
  • Proven experience managing executive schedules or similar administrative roles.
  • Familiarity with project/program management processes.
  • Strong organizational skills with ability to multitask effectively.
  • Two or more years of professional interpreting experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Communication, or related field.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong time-management and multitasking abilities.
  • Flexible, collaborative, and detail-oriented approach.
